Frequently Asked Questions

1 / What if my kids or I don't have a passport?

Get one! The latest processing times are as follows:

Standard Processing: 6-8 weeks

Expedited Processing: 2-3 weeks (+$60)

Kids passports are cute and last for five years, at which point they will look nothing like their photo and will need a new one. Start your US Passport application here. We recommend starting no later than mid-March.

2 / When does the RSVP close?

Please RSVP by March 31, 2026. This will allow us the time needed to inform our vendors for all of our events and ensure we are providing the best possible experience for all of you. If you need to modify your RSVP, you can access it the same way you initially responded - just click the RSVP link on this website, look up your name, and adjust as needed.

3 / Are there hotel room block codes? How do I book my hotel?

All of the travel details you need can be found on the Travel + Stay page of this website. For Hotel Hércules, the link is all you need (there is no code). For Hotel Criol and Mesón de Santa Rosa - please refer to the codes listed on the Travel + Stay page. If you have any issues, please just reach out to us.

4 / Is there a dress code for the events?

The Wedding Ceremony and Reception will be a formal attire event. Please dress like you would if you went to any other nice people's wedding.

The Welcome Party is a casual event; feel free to dress however you think you look best.

The Pool Party is, well, centered around a pool. Bring a bathing suit and pool/lounge clothing for when you're not in the pool.

5 / How does the shuttle work?

It probably has a gas combustion engine. But if you are wondering where to meet the shuttle and when and where they run, more information will be made available as the events get closer.

6 / Can I bring a guest with me?

We have arranged specific guest counts for each party. When you RSVP, the guests invited for your party will be visible. If you have any questions, please just reach out to us.

7 / Can I bring my pets?

Do people actually ask this? No. This is not a pet friendly event.

8 / Can I drink the water?

In Mexico, waterborne bacteria is common in most tap water, and therefore it is not recommended to drink anything from a tap, including using the sink water to clean your toothbrush. Hotels will almost always provide complimentary filtered and bottled water during your stay, and all of our vendors at all of the events we are hosting will be using purified water for their drinks, as well as for their ice.

9 / Is Querétaro safe?

Yes! As with any foreign travel, you should be vigilant in any unfamiliar areas, but the state of Querétaro is widely considered one of the safest in all of Mexico, and is in fact safer than many U.S. cities.

10 / What is the weather like?

June in Querétaro is right at the edge of the region's rainy season (July-Sept), but it is similar to the weather in Mexico City, in that the rain (if it comes) typically only lasts for 1-2 hours in the early evening and is often fairly light. Otherwise, expect moderate temperatures in the upper 70s to low 80s for highs, and lows in the upper 50s to low 60s. We recommend bringing or buying sunscreen for daytime use.

As Querétaro is located at approx. 6,000 ft. above sea level, it is worth noting that you may notice the thinner air affecting your breathing quality, but this typically only happens if you are vigorously exercising or really dancing your ass off to the cumbias.

11 / Can you accommodate my dietary restrictions?

We will do our best to accommodate food preferences and allergies. Please let one of us know your specific needs after you've RSVP'd.

12 / Why did you choose Querétaro?

By sheer volume, this is probably the most frequently asked question, but it certainly is not the most important so it's all the way down here. The fact is, we were searching for locations and venues for quite a while, and this was the first place that we both fell in love with. One of us is more picky than the other, but it doesn't matter who that is...it was Querétaro that we both agreed would be perfect for our event, and thus, this is where we are getting married.

13 / What if I have a question you didn't answer?

You are probably being needy. But, that's OK. You can email us and ask your very important question and one of us will help you out!
